Well, they say, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." When I am in Rome I am going to be running a marathon!! Woohoo! My husband and I are now registered for the Rome Marathon on April 8, 2018. We are super excited but now we have to figure out how we are going to pay our way there!!
We decided we weren't going to go on a vacation this year and if we had any money at the end of the year we would go then. I was reading my latest email edition of RunnersWorld over the weekend and they had the Top 10 Bucket List Destination marathons and guess which one was on there?? Yep, we lost all control and abandoned our sane, saving plans for the year and signed up! It is a good thing I am married to someone as adventurous and carefree as I am!!
We will have to start training soon because training for a marathon in April means it will be here before we know it and that we have to do a lot of long runs in very cold weather which we both hate!! As you can see, we do not always think through these things before we do them! Well, you only live once! I am also running the Chicago Marathon in October so we will see how all of this plays out! I am so excited!!
