Good day Ladies and Gents!! I hope your week has been going well. We are having a foggy and slightly snowy morning here.
Before I get started, here is a picture from my vision board that I recently made. Just a good reminder for all of us!
I just wanted to send out a quick post to give you an update on the 50 races. If you have been following then you know we only have 3 races left!! Holy cow! I can't believe it.
We were supposed to go to Carlsbad, CA for the Double Down but sadly, Kristie fell and broke her wrist and the doctors did not recommend her running at the time. We decided to cancel that trip and switched to their virtual versions of the races instead so we could save some money for our last 3 races!
Kristie had to walk both races and I have to say, I think having to walk a half marathon would be harder than running it!! I had to do mine in very cold and windy conditions here in Colorado so it was rather unpleasant!! I am glad those two races are done. We did get a lot of swag from those races though. We got 3 shirts and 3 medals!!
Our last 3 races will be at Disney World in Florida. We will be doing the Disney Princess weekend with the 5k on Friday, the 10k on Saturday and the Half on Sunday. Honestly, I do not know how I am going to do this because I have lost some motivation for training lately because I hate going out in the cold or wind or especially the combination of the two!! I also want to go to Disney World while we are there so that could be a lot of time on our feet besides racing. But, it is only 3 races and then we are done, so we will live!!
I am hoping to find some "princess" outfits that I can take to run in. I do have some Halloween costumes that would fit the bill but they may not be something I can run in, we will see.
I am also embarking on a new journey with work. I have decided to do some travel physical therapy. I love traveling to new places, meeting new people and I would really love to get somewhere warmer in the winter!! I have been busy trying to get this all worked out so that I can start somewhere in March.
So, that is what is going on with the races. Kristie has been given the all clear to return to running and she lives in a warm state so no problem getting out for runs!! I keep wanting to stop being a baby about the cold but I just can't seem to do it! Wah wah!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I hope to get back on track with more regular posting soon!!
